This is a funny one to me. When people say things like, “now hold on there sparky, you can’t go TOO FAR with Grace…”
Why?
Because I’m not the one saying the Christian life IS grace, grace, and more grace — God IS!
So don’t tell me that I can’t go too far with grace… speak to the Man in charge.
Tell Jesus He needed to be careful about going too far in grace when He confronted the angry mob of people wanting to stone the adulteress and told them “whoever hasn’t sin, throw the first stone”… and saving that woman’s life (john 8:3-11)…
Tell Jesus He needed to be careful about going too far with grace when he told the parable of the “prodigal son”… showed the people how God’s grace is overflowing — even to the people who go away, spend their inheritance, and want nothing to do with their father (Luke 15:11-32)…
Tell Jesus He needed to be careful about going too far with grace when he told how EVERYONE is poured out the same measure of abundant grace no matter how hard they “worked” for it (the parable of the laborers in the field, Matthew 20:1-16)
Tell Jesus He needed to be careful about going too far with grace when he was hanging on the cross for the sins of people who didn’t care about Him and wanted Him dead… and… the criminal hanging on the cross beside Him, who had most likely lived a life of crime asked “to be remembered by Christ in Heaven” and He poured out His grace right there without hesitation. (Luke 23: 39-43)
Jesus didn’t ever worry about “going too far with grace”… because you can’t.
And now that I have his life, I guess He won’t worry about going to far with it now… as he expresses His life through me.

- It’s a beautiful, sunny 66 degrees– “I think this would be a good opportunity for me to take my shirt off”
- It’s saint pattys day weekend (i know it’s really only one day, monday, but I’m like half Irish so I celebrate the whole weekend)!
- My mom read my blog the other day (and then a disgruntled reader posted a comment as “your mom” haha)
- I’m almost done with a crazy project I’ve been working on.
- A movie about taekwondo is coming out called, “foot fist way” and it looks HILARIOUS
