I have been a believer for 42 years, most of that striving and straining, trying harder and harder to live the Christian life, performing religious activities thinking it would earn me God's acceptance. What I didn't know was I already had what I was trying to achieve. I liked this story about Josh Hamilton, but I liked your subsequent comments even more. Ya know, I hear comments like this

“I have to get back on track tho..”

a lot. And here’s the truth:

All you need to do is recognize that God loves you. Accept that love (this is called salvation, Romans 10:9-10). And Decide to love God back.

Then GOD, by placing the spirit of Christ in you, will “get you back on track”!

You see, Loving God is loving the Christ He will place into you at salvation… and if you love Him you’ll let Him express Himself through you each day (it’s easy to tell when He’s doing this — it’s all love)… And your “behavior” will take care of itself!
